Trickery

Here’s a picture standing in my driveway looking down the street.

Pretty much a gorgeous, sunny day right? Well, what the heck is up with this:

Clearly, it’s Mother Nature up to her trickery again. I just know that she’s going to wait for me to get half way out on my bike, and then bring in the storm clouds and let me have it. I might just take the bait, though. It’s almost too perfect out not to.

And I guess since I’m feeling all picture posty again, here’s a recent snapshot of my nieces. Clearly, they are sisters from the way that they sleep.

I don’t know why I love that picture, but I do. :)

  1. I imagine the reason you love that pic is that it may well be among the five greatest pictures of all times (excluding any pictures of my own kids, of course).

You have a great page - very inspiring re: weight loss story. I’ve been lurking among the tri blogs for quite a while, and yours was one of the first tri blogs I found.

  5. Those girls look like they are on a roller coaster going down a big hill… Wheeee! ;) They’re adorable.

Did it ever rain yesterday? Its supposed to do the same today but was bright and sunny during my 6 AM run. Yes, yes, trickery abounds.

  7. Bah! If you wait for it not to rain, you’ll never get out on the bike. We got in a lovely 35 mile ride last night and I only got rained on riding over to the Cafe to meet people. Although it looked like armageddon on top of the high bridge until we actually got up there and discovered it was all sunny!

  10. Our weather has been like that lately. Very blue skies, gorgeous, and warm….only to cloud over and thunderstorm in the blink of an eye. Odd…but that’s spring in the midwest, eh?

I LOVE that picture of your nieces. They are adorable!
