1. Hey! I’m in that second picture — green skirt/black tank next to my balding husband and the dog that is a little freaked out… That’s kind of funny.

   I do have to congratulate you again. All you finishers simply amaze me — especially considering the conditions. I’ve been reading various race reports and considering the carnage of the day — you were *really* strong!!

2. Congrats man..living in WI for the first 18 years of my life, I can’t imagine doing an Ironman when the temp is 90 degrees plus in Wisconsin, the humidity that goes along with that is just unbearable.

   … and all I can say is I’m pretty jealous….now you can go get the M dot tattoo (well actually two if you want) and I still have to earn it……

8. That’s an awesome looking medal. I imagine they could give me a bottle cap as a finisher’s medal and I’d treasure it as if it were the Hope Diamond. Just having the words “finisher” and “Ironman” on the medal pretty much seal the deal. I keep hearing about the heat and the DNF rate and it impresses me all the more that you made it through.

10. Sorry so late chiming in on your pics– crazy weekend here with DH’s kidney stones and now we’re in the cross-hairs of a hurricane.

    Never a dull moment.

    Anyway, I love your pics– thank you so much for sharing! And yes, I know the feeling of “12 hours for this?” I haven’t done an IM yet, but when I did the IronStar half last fall, it was, “$125 and 6+ hours for… cold pizza and a coffee mug?!?!?”

    We’re insane. Ohyesweare.
