Mostly, I didn't take in enough calories. I won't make that mistake come race day. As for my "pulling a Rasmussen," I rode off the path and into some tall weeds. Luckily, I managed to stop without flipping my bike and/or crashing into the swamp which was only about 5 yards ahead of me. That would have been bad! :( Thanks for all the kind words!
