Please, No More New Pains kthx

I did my second of long runs today. I planned on 1:45 which should have put me just under 12 miles. I actually felt pretty good all the way through but my left ankle around my achilles started aching around 1:15 or so. It didn’t hurt that bad, but I eased up on my pace and started walking the remainder of the hills as to not aggravate it any further. I was good and iced it for 15 minutes after I got home. I think I’ll go ice after I’m done posting here too.

I really hope this isn’t something that’s going to stick around for a while. It’s been a rough early season so far. Battling ITB, shin splints, some weird pain in my left foot around my small toe (I think it’s my sural nerve, but don’t know what’s wrong with it), and now this. I am running faster than I was last season, but these nagging injuries are pretty annoying. I wonder how much fast I could be if I could train without them all.

Not much else is new. I picked up the new Profile Design Tri-Stryke today. I have it all mounted on my bike, but haven’t ridden it yet. With thunderstorms forcasted for tomorrow, I should have a lovely two hour trainer ride to give it a try. I’ll try and post a review of it here sometime in the near future.
