American Idol

I should have posted this months ago when this latest season of American Idol started. I totally called Carrie Underwood as my favorite girl to win the whole thing while they were still doing auditions and before they started eliminating people (my choice for a guy winner did end up being sent home quite early in the competition, though). Bo did a really good job. He had me worried that my prediction was going to be wrong and honestly, I think he had the better performance on Tuesday. Either person would have been deserving, though.

I can’t believe I stuck it through the whole season. This is the first season that I watched in its entirety. And I’m not really proud of that, actually. On the contrary, I feel rather embarassed.

  2. I’m not sure. I watched some of the auditions from the previous series, but those were really only to see the contestants get slammed by Cowell.

With a PVR (personal video recorder, very much like TiVo), it’s not as painful. I usually skipped all the talking about the background of each contestant and listened to as much of their song as I needed to until I had an opinion. Then I just fast forward to the results. Last night, I basically just skipped to the last five minutes of the two hour show last night to see who won. I can’t watch “live TV” anymore at all.

In other news, it’s great to hear from you! Folks were asking about you not too long ago on TNO. You should stop in there and say hello if you haven’t already. :)
