Jitters

So, I leave Minneapolis in a couple hours. I’m pretty much all packed and ready to fly down to Panama City Beach, FL for the Gulf Coast Triathlon. I fell asleep just fine last night around midnight, but it’s not even 6 am yet and I’m wide awake. I keep telling myself that I should sleep and should get as much rest as possible this week. No matter how I tried though, I couldn’t fall back asleep this morning when I rolled over and saw my alarm clock read 5:00 am.

I just have a few more things to pack up and most of them are smaller things that I won’t pack until the last minute (eyeglasses, laptop, toiletries, etc.). Then it’s away from the 50 degree and thunderstorm forecasted weather down into the 80+ degree and humid home that’s bound to cause me a lot of pain and suffering here in a few days. Oddly enough, it should be a good time and I’m really looking forward it.
